EY in Munich is seeking a (Senior) Consultant FinOps & IT Cost Management (Financial Services) to advise major financial institutions on cloud cost management and FinOps strategies across AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift, and Databricks.

The role focuses on assessments, operating model design, and optimization across processes, governance, tooling, and spend visibility, with opportunities to leverage EY assets and formal frameworks.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or Mathematics.
• Knowledge of cloud cost management, FinOps, or IT controlling is expected.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and strong German/English communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Support FinOps maturity assessments and gap analyses across processes and governance.
• Contribute to cloud optimization frameworks and FinOps-as-Code roadmaps.
• Assist with ITSM-led governance models and target operating models.
• Support automated, policy-based optimization execution and Agentic AI-based FinOps use cases.
• Analyze cloud spend data and develop usage-based shared cost allocation models.

The work spans hyperscale environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, as well as platforms including OpenShift and Databricks.The position supports assessments, operating model design, and optimization initiatives across processes, governance, tooling, and cloud spend visibility.
