CACI International Inc. seeks a Senior Cloud Software Engineer for the SOCEUR mission in Stuttgart, Germany. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud-native software tools and microservices on Google Cloud Platform, while collaborating with data scientists and DevSecOps teams.

You will deploy secure infrastructure, lead architectural decisions, and ensure robust CI/CD pipelines and secure coding practices within a cross-functional team.

Qualifikationen

  • Must be a US Citizen with TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP).
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, with 5+ years on scalable distributed systems.
  • 3+ years leading project design or technical architecture.
  • Experience with Python, Go, Java, Bash.
  • Deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes (container registries).
  • Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • Strong cloud networking knowledge (VPCs, firewall, load balancers) in GCP.

This role sits inside the HTAP program team and is responsible for translating complex mission requirements into robust, reusable, and secure software tools and subsystems on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The individual will lead domain analyses, architect innovative technology solutions, and establish best practices for the full software development lifecycle. The individual will interact regularly with data scientists, DevSecOps engineers, and mission owners to enhance and sustain a cutting-edge analytics environment for Allied, partner, and US operations. **Responsibilities:*** Architect and develop scalable, resilient, and secure software tools and microservices for a cloud-native environment.* Lead the design of software subsystems, promote code reuse, and set technical standards for the engineering team.* Develop and integrate custom APIs, including those that expose AI/ML model outputs for enterprise applications.* Deploy and manage cloud-native infrastructure, including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters and Confidential Compute instances, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.* Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of software.* Establish and manage comprehensive application monitoring, logging, and alerting using Google Cloud's operations suite to ensure system health and performance.* Collaborate with security teams to perform regular security patching, address vulnerabilities, and implement secure coding best practices.* Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and maintain high-quality technical documentation.**Qualifications:** *Required:*· Must be a US Citizen possessing an active TS/SCI security clearance.· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).· DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II (or higher) baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP).· 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5+ years focused on designing and building scalable, distributed systems.· Proven experience in a complex, cross-functional organization, with at least 3+ years leading project design or technical architecture.· Expertise in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Bash).· Deep experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), including management of container registries (e.g., Artifact Registry, Harbor).· Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).· Strong knowledge of cloud networking (VPCs, firewall rules, load balancing) and security principles in a GCP environment.· Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer certification.· Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.*Desired:*· Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.· Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification.· Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Airflow.Candidate will qualify for:* Moving expenses to relocate household from CONUS to Stuttgart, Germany* Dependent Education* LQA - Living Quarters Allowance-**What You Can Expect:****A culture of integrity.**At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
