Aufgaben

Your Mission

As Senior Cloud Engineer, you design and build the cloud-native infrastructure that powers football's entire content supply chain: from live production to global distribution. You own architectural decisions, drive complex system integrations and establish AI-assisted engineering as the standard for the team. You think in products and processes, not just in code, and bring a mindset that bridges technology and business impact.

Your Responsibilities

• AWS Solution Design: Architect and implement cloud-native solutions based on serverless and event-driven paradigms using Infrastructure-as-Code
• Workflow Automation: Automate media production workflows; from transcoding and localisation to content distribution
• System Integration & Content Supply Chain: Build robust APIs and data pipelines between systems and own the end-to-end media supply chain from ingest to distribution to broadcast and media partners
• Engineering Excellence: Drive code quality, testing, observability and DevSecFinOps practices across the team
• AI-Assisted Development: Build and establish agentic AI development practices as a model approach for the organisation
• Junior Mentoring: Provide technical guidance to junior and regular engineers, developing them towards product-oriented, AI-assisted ways of working

Qualifikation

• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a comparable role
• You have deep practical experience with AWS Serverless services (including Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB and S3) and are proficient in TypeScript as your primary development language
• You have proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK or comparable) and a solid understanding of event-driven and eventual consistency architecture patterns
• You have built robust APIs and integrations between heterogeneous systems, and are familiar with CI/CD pipelines and toolchains such as Bitbucket Pipelines
• You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• You are open to actively shaping AI-assisted development practices and eager to develop your own ways of working accordingly.
• Bonus:
• Experience with media-adjacent workflows such as transcoding, AWS Elemental Services or localisation pipelines
• First hands-on experience with generative or agentic AI solutions
