Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a Platform/Cloud/DevOps engineer for its Azure-based data cloud. You will build a scalable data lake, design cloud architecture, and ensure secure development environments for data teams. The role requires Azure, Terraform/Bicep, CI/CD, and Python expertise with a pragmatic, proactive mindset.

German at C1/C2 and English at B2 are required. Nice-to-have: KRITIS/NIS2, ISO 27001 exposure, and Kubernetes experience. Hybrid/ onsite in Germany preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as Platform/Cloud/DevOps engineer focusing on cloud tech.
• Azure experience with hands-on projects or certifications (AZ-104/AZ-305).
• IaC experience using Terraform or Bicep and CI/CD.
• Strong Python skills for automation and data tasks.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake, Databricks, or Synapse preferred.
• Familiar with Atlassian tools and Microsoft 365.
• German at C1/C2 and good English (B2).
• Curious, eager to learn, proactive and independent.

Aufgaben

• Build and operate a standardized cloud-based data lake in Azure.
• Design and implement Azure cloud architecture, including networking, IAM, cost management, governance.
• Provide secure Python development environments for data/engineering teams.

• Contribute to department strategic direction and take ownership for Azure, data, and business platforms.

• Build and operate a standardized, cloud-based data lake in Azure

• Manage operational information security across the cloud landscape, including identity, secrets, and access reviews
• Collaborate with the KRITIS/ISO specialist on audit preparation and implementation
• Contribute to meeting regulatory requirements in the energy sector, particularly KRITIS and NIS2
• Support the ongoing development of Jira, Confluence, HubSpot, and Microsoft 365
• Contribute to the department’s strategic direction
• Assume operational responsibility and technical ownership for Azure, data, and business platforms

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or IT Engineer with a clear focus on cloud technologies
• Solid experience with Azure, ideally demonstrated through hands‑on projects or certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-305
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep) and CI/CD
• Strong Python skills for infrastructure, automation, and data-related use cases
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure Data Lake, Databricks, or Synapse—or a clear willingness to learn them
• Familiarity with modern collaboration tools such as Atlassian products and Microsoft 365
• German at C1/C2 level
• Good command of English, at least B2 level
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new topics
• Independent, diligent, and proactive working style
• Pragmatic and down-to-earth approach
• Clear communication, including with colleagues without a deep technical background
• Nice to have: Experience in scale‑up or startup environments involving greenfield platform development
• Nice to have: Exposure to KRITIS, NIS2, or ISO 27001, particularly in the energy sector
