POSITION SUMMARY

This is an on-site hybrid role based out of Haan

Reporting to the Manager Sourcing EMEA, the Senior Category Manager Castings and Rubber is responsible for the strategic management of the EMEA castings and rubber components category. This position will provide category leadership, aligning with the segments and the regional divisional procurement teams and working closely with segment and divisional product leaders, operations and other key stakeholders to deploy strategies that drive value and sustainability in our supply chain. This key role will work closely with the regional and global sourcing and supply chain teams, operations, and plants and corporate leaders in the development of strategic plans and supporting objectives to drive overall performance across Regal Rexnord in the EMEA region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and drive the category strategy for castings and rubber EMEA including developing strategic sourcing partnerships, leading negotiations, and strategy implementation which include BVC sourcing.
• Partner with the Global Category manager and the other regional category managers to drive strategy which includes BVC sourcing to optimize TCO.
• Lead Supplier management strategy including supplier development, supply base consolidation, cost reduction roadmaps and implementation of supplier segmentation plan.
• Partner with business segments and influence the strategic direction of the category strategy, including design criteria, and directed sourcing requirements (Tier 2 / Tier 3).
• Lead the effort to achieve and maintain alignment in the value chain between the suppliers, and the end customer in all quality and delivery requirements.
• Strategically support divisions within the larger function of regional and global supply chain.
• Manage, track, and report key drivers, and market trends from a historical and forecasting perspective.
• Establish and implement countermeasures to compensate for market trends.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the category total cost, including an integrated view of tooling and component costs as a part of the category strategy.
• Partner with the operational purchasing teams to ensure period-over-period process improvements.
• Drive innovation with a focus on continuous improvement within the supply chain organization.
• Responsible for timely reporting to agreed-on KPIs and presenting strategic sourcing plans, activities and successes to the Senior Leadership Team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain management.
• Minimum of 7 years of supply chain, operations, distribution or category management including 3 years of castings and rubber components.
• Demonstrated industry understanding of castings and vulcanized rubber components.
• Demonstrated understanding of castings and rubber components supply base, cost drivers, market dynamics, and cost management / reduction strategies.
• Demonstrated experience with direct material sourcing on a global scale, with multi-tier supplier relationship management.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to use a structured approach to understand, analyze and solve complex problems and issues.
• Demonstrated ability to develop working partnerships with Segment and Sourcing leadership across the business, to challenge and influence change.
• Strong verbal and written communication and excellent presentation skills.
• Strong Computer skills : Microsoft Office applications required. Knowledge SAP, Oracle and Infor a plus.
