Jobtailor in Germany is seeking a software engineer to design and implement system software solutions using C, C++, and Python. You will write functional and design specifications and develop automated test plans and programs.

You will debug issues uncovered by tests, collaborate with Customer Support Engineers to fix network problems, mentor junior engineers, and help create implementation schedules. A strong foundation in networking and Linux is expected.

Qualifikationen

• BSc, MSc or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering with 2+ years of related post graduate work experience.
• Knowledge of C, C++, and/or Python.
• Knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
• Understanding of L2/L3 networking including IP routing protocols, Layer 2 features, and distributed systems functions.
• Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to design and implement solutions to small-sized problems without outside help.
• Mentoring new and junior engineers
