Zusammenfassung

Collectors is expanding its PSA EU team in Frankfurt, seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurement of injection molded components, raw materials, and services for European operations.

You will drive strategic sourcing, manage supplier performance, and partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure readiness from tooling through production ramp. Fluency in German and English is required.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Fluent in German and English, with the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional, international teams.
  • 6+ years of procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, BOM, and production scheduling.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel (VLOOKUP).
  • Demonstrated experience managing tooling programs and new product introductions.
  • Excellent mathematics, negotiation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating pricing and supplier agreements.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities across sites.

Aufgaben

  • Lead sourcing activities for injection molded components, including RFQs, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance against cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
  • Execute cost reduction initiatives through resourcing, should‑cost analysis, and commercial negotiations.
  • Partner with engineering and operations on new tooling and part development, ensuring manufacturability and scalability.
  • Project manage new part introductions and product launches from sourcing through production readiness.
  • Monitor supplier capacity, risk, and continuity planning to support operational stability.
  • Maintain accurate system data (pricing, lead times, MOQs) to support planning and financial accuracy.
  • Support procurement reporting, spend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with demand planners and inventory control to ensure timely delivery and optimal inventory levels, minimizing shortages or excess stock.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records in ERP systems and generate reports for decision‑making.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements; maintain documentation for audits and traceability.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and contribute to supply chain process improvements and supplier development efforts.

We’re looking for a Senior Buyer to join our PSA EU team to be responsible for leading the procurement of injection molded components, raw materials, services critical to the production process and supporting European operations. This role is accountable for executing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier performance, and driving cost, quality, and delivery outcomes across multiple facilities. The Senior Buyer will play a central role in new part introductions and product launches, partnering closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure readiness from tooling through to production ramp.

You’ll report to the Director, PSA EU Operations / Director, Global Supply Chain and work from our Frankfurt, Germany office.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead sourcing activities for injection molded components, including RFQs, supplier selection, and contract negotiations

Who Are You
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in multi‑site manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with plastics manufacturing processes and tooling lifecycle management
  • Exposure to supplier quality and development initiatives
  • Industry‑specific knowledge or certifications (e.g., BME, ELA, CIPS)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement initiatives and/or ISO, EN, DIN standards
  • Experience in global sourcing and international logistics
Salary Range

The salary range for this position is €73,792.11 - €97,590.07. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non‑discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
