Privatal in Germany seeks a Senior Business Controller to lead broad controlling, planning, reporting and liquidity management. You will partner with management to provide financial transparency and support strategic decisions.

You will develop dashboards, support investment appraisals and drive process improvements across ERP, BI and reporting systems, enabling better financial performance and risk management across the organization.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience within finance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance or related discipline.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning is required.
• Auditing experience would be advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Prepare, analyse and interpret financial and operational performance data.
• Conduct budget vs. actual, variance and profitability analyses.
• Develop management reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
• Manage liquidity planning, cash-flow analysis and monitoring.
• Support communication and reporting requirements with financial institutions, including covenant calculations.
• Prepare budgets, financial plans, investment plans, forecasts and scenario analyses.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvements.
• Develop KPIs, controlling frameworks and reporting tools.
• Identify and monitor financial and commercial risks.
• Act as finance business partner to management and internal departments.
• Support investment appraisals and profitability analyses.
• Contribute to the optimisation of finance and controlling processes.
• Support the implementation and further development of ERP, BI and reporting systems.

We are supporting an established organisation in Germany with the appointment of a Senior Business Controller.

This is a senior finance position with broad responsibility across controlling, financial planning, reporting, liquidity management and business partnering. The successful candidate will work closely with management and key business functions, providing financial transparency and supporting strategic and operational decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse and interpret financial and operational performance data
• Conduct budget vs. actual, variance and profitability analyses
• Develop management reports and dashboards for senior leadership
• Manage liquidity planning, cash-flow analysis and monitoring

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience within the finance function of a medium-sized or large organisation
• Strong analytical skills and a sound understanding of financial and commercial performance
• Previous auditing experience would be advantageous
• A professional auditing qualification would also be considered an advantage
