We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated (Senior) Business Controller to join our team in Berlin on a two-year fixed-term contract. The Senior Business Controller position will support the Director and the department of Sales & Operation Germany (S&O GER), within the BU E-Mobility, with all business controlling tasks including month-end close preparation and reporting, plan-to-perform (business plan, forecast and KPIs follow-up) processes and ad-hoc financial analysis. Additionally, with your local controlling expertise, you will serve as an advisor towards the BU Controller of E-Mobility in specific or over-arching BU controlling topics. As (Senior) Business Controller E-Mobility you report to the Director of Business Control E-Mobility who is accountable for the overall controlling support of the Business unit.

Key Responsibilities & Activities

• Ensure the accuracy of the P&L structure ensuring financial data is correctly booked and aligned
• Drive month-end close through accrual preparation and coordination with accounting on key topics
• Prepare monthly management reporting, delivering clear insights on financial performance
• Actively participate in the S&O GER MT meetings by acting as a financial partner, challenging and supporting with business decisions
• Prepare financial forecasts by translating business input into accurate, forward-looking financials
• Lead the local business plan process together with local Management Team, ensuring alignment of financial goals
• Support in preparation and monitoring of KPIs to track business performance
• Support the local unit’s growth by advising on financial aspects of new initiatives, improvements and other strategic decisions
• As advisor to BU Controller you support and challenge BU controlling governance and run specific initiatives or ad-hoc analysis

Your profile and soft skills:

• Ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience within Business Controlling, Financial Analysis or Commercial Project Management
• Bachelor's and ideally Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or similar education
• You are a team player and natural networker with experience from working in a challenging and high-paced business environment
• You have proven ability to establish trust and build relationships
• You are proactive, constructive and solution oriented
• You have strong excel and presentation skills, SAP experience
• You have high analytical skills with an eye for details
• Experience from utility business is a strong merit
• Full professional fluency in English and German is required
