Job summary

Trading212 is looking for Senior Backend Engineers to work across our backend teams, owning end-to-end solutions from problem definition to production operations. You will design, implement and maintain services that meet high standards for performance, reliability and data integrity.

Work closely with product partners to translate complex requirements into durable, scalable systems using a modern stack and a culture of ownership.

Qualifications

• Proven ownership of backend services built and operated within a microservices architecture.
• Strong grasp of HTTP, WebSockets and AMQP, and when to apply each.
• Production fluency in at least one modern backend framework.
• Deep knowledge of relational databases, including indexing, transactions, isolation levels, locking mechanisms and high-performance design.
• Track record of designing systems for high availability, scalability and resilience.
• Clear, structured problem-solving and ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and confidence learning unfamiliar technologies.

Responsibilities

Depth in one backend ecosystem and sound tool choice matter more than familiarity with every technology listed.
