E.ON Drive Infrastructure is seeking an experienced AI engineer to lead the design and deployment of production-grade AI/ML solutions. You will own the architecture, reliability, latency, and cost of systems, including GenAI capabilities and RAG-based services.

You will productionize models from data scientists, drive MLOps/LLMOps practices, and own the LLM gateway. The role emphasizes collaboration across technical and non-technical teams and mentoring junior colleagues.

Competenze

• Proven experience owning AI/ML solutions end to end with measurable impact.
• Strong Python engineering including testing, CI/CD, and clean architecture.
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, model evaluation, and experimentation.
• Production experience with Generative AI, including prompting, RAG, agents, and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with MLOps and model deployment workflows in Azure – AWS or GCP experience transfers.
• Strong understanding of trade-offs between accuracy, latency, scalability, cost, and risk
• Ability to translate complex business and technical challenges into practical solutions
• Curious, pragmatic, and passionate about applying the latest AI technologies to real-world problems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams

Your profile

You are an experienced AI engineer who combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands‑on expertise in modern machine learning and Generative AI. You enjoy solving complex problems, taking ownership, and turning ideas into production-ready solutions.

Must have

• Proven experience owning AI/ML solutions in production end to end, with measurable impact
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, including testing, CI/CD, and clean architecture
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, model evaluation, and experimentation
• Production experience with Generative AI, including prompting, RAG, agents, and evaluation frameworks
• Experience with MLOps and model deployment workflows in Azure – AWS or GCP experience transfers
• Strong understanding of trade-offs between accuracy, latency, scalability, cost, and risk
• Ability to translate complex business and technical challenges into practical solutions
• Curious, pragmatic, and passionate about applying the latest AI technologies to real-world problems
