You will design and deploy AI agents, multi-agent workflows, and production-grade AI services, integrating open-source models and enterprise data to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional experience in AI/ML/AI engineering.
• Strong Python proficiency and building production-grade AI apps.
• Practical experience with LLMs and transformer models, open-source ecosystems like Hugging Face.
• Hands-on experience with AI agents and multi-agent workflows.
• Experience with RAG, tool calling, structured outputs, and retrieval/search architectures.

Your team
As an AI Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our platform by bringing cutting-edge NLP and LLM capabilities into our products. This role is based in Mannheim, where you'll collaborate with a talented, forward-thinking team. We embrace a hybrid work model, with three days a week in the office.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI agents and agentic systems that become an integral part of our global SaaS products.
• Develop LLM-powered services and multi-agent architectures, enabling models, tools, and data sources to work together across complex workflows.
• Build, fine-tune, and deploy open-source LLMs and transformer-based models, including use cases such as intelligent search, entity resolution, information extraction, and document understanding.
• Design and operate RAG pipelines and AI services using structured and unstructured enterprise data.
• Take end-to-end ownership of AI solutions—from experimentation and model selection to deployment, monitoring, optimization, and production operation.

Your Experience

• At least 5 years of professional experience in AI, Machine Learning, or AI Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience building production-grade AI applications.
• Practical experience with LLMs and transformer-based models, ideally including open-source ecosystems such as Hugging Face.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents or agentic workflows; experience with multi-agent systems is highly valued.
• Experience with RAG, tool/function calling, structured outputs, and retrieval/search architectures.
• Experience taking AI applications beyond PoCs into production environments, including deployment, monitoring, scalability, and performance optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience fine-tuning or adapting LLMs/transformer models for specific domains or tasks.
• Experience self-hosting open-source models and working with GPU-based inference infrastructure.
• Experience with multilingual NLP and large-scale document processing.
• Experience working with enterprise, supply-chain, ESG, or compliance data.
