• Fluent in German and English, comfortable with client workshops and technical discussions in both languages.
• Proven ability to prototype and scale AI solutions using modern platforms and RAG-based architectures.

We're looking for a Senior AI Consultant (m/f/d) to join our Data & AI Practice team in Germany in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will lead high-impact AI, Generative AI and agentic AI engagements, combining deep technical expertise with strategic advisory and delivery leadership. You will shape AI transformation initiatives with senior stakeholders while staying close to technical detail, managing solutions from early exploration through to enterprise-scale production. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys defining AI strategies, taking ownership of delivery roadmaps and influencing how organizations adopt emerging AI technologies at scale.

Responsibilities

• Engage senior business and technology stakeholders to define AI strategies and transformation priorities
• Lead development of AI product and delivery roadmaps from ideation through production-ready deployment
• Take ownership of complex AI solution designs, including RAG and agentic architectures, working with architects and technical leads on implementation challenges
• Advise on the selection and application of AI platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake and Microsoft Foundry, ensuring best practices across experimentation and deployment workflows
• Build and defend business cases for AI investment, focusing on measurable value realization
• Facilitate client workshops, strategy sessions and design discussions, aligning C-level and technical stakeholders
• Assess risks, regulatory implications and governance needs (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR) across AI systems and recommend mitigation approaches including monitoring and observability practices
• Mentor and coach junior consultants, fostering professional growth and client engagement skills
• Establish trusted client relationships, contribute to growth opportunities and support proposal and RFP development
• Represent EPAM's AI perspective externally and translate market trends into actionable offerings

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with modern AI technologies (including Generative AI and agentic systems), built on a solid applied data science foundation
• Deep expertise in at least one core industry: Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Logistics, Automotive or Energy
• Strong knowledge of machine learning fundamentals, including statistical modeling and predictive analytics
• Demonstrated ability to prototype and scale AI solutions using modern platforms and frameworks, including RAG-based architectures
• Familiarity with leading AI and cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Foundry, AWS or GCP) and supporting experimentation tools
• Expertise in assessing AI/ML risks, compliance and governance requirements, including EU AI Act and GDPR, and advising clients on mitigation strategies
• Fluent in German and English, comfortable conducting client workshops and technical discussions in both languages
• Strong communication and visual storytelling skills, credible with both executives and technical audiences
• Ability to lead in complex, ambiguous client environments and align diverse stakeholders around AI objectives
• In-depth specialization in one domain such as advanced ML, AI regulation, agentic systems, security or deep learning
• Nice to have Experience shaping AI strategies and roadmaps at enterprise level
• Exposure to enterprise architecture concepts for AI or agentic systems
• Project management capability for AI or data delivery engagements
• People leadership experience within consulting or technical teams
• Ability to lead proposal development and client presentations
• Familiarity with RAG-specific technologies such as vector databases
• Change management experience to support AI-driven transformation initiatives
