Zusammenfassung

BMW Group in Munich is seeking a Senior Agentic AI Engineer to design, build and industrialize production-grade AI and GenAI solutions across business domains. You will take technical ownership from framing to rollout while collaborating with cross-functional teams in enterprise use cases and data environments.

The role requires 5+ years in software engineering with strong Python skills, 3+ years in AI/ML production systems, and deep knowledge of AI system design, LLM integration, orchestration

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with strong hands-on Python skills.
• At least 3 years of practical experience building and industrializing AI/GenAI/ML systems in production environments.
• Strong understanding of modern AI system design, including LLM integration, orchestration, RAG, evaluation, monitoring, APIs and deployment.
• Practical experience with cloud-based environments, preferably AWS or Azure, including CI/CD and DevOps practices.

• Define reusable engineering patterns, technical standards and best practices for AI solutions.
• Support less experienced engineers through technical guidance, code reviews and hands‑on enablement.

What should you bring along?

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with strong hands‑on Python skills.
• At least 3 years of practical experience in building and industrializing AI, GenAI or ML-based systems in production or production‑like environments.
• Strong understanding of modern AI system design, including LLM integration, orchestration, RAG, evaluation, monitoring, APIs and deployment.
• Practical experience with cloud-based engineering environments, preferably AWS or Azure, including CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to take technical ownership in ambiguous situations and translate complex business problems into scalable AI solutions.
• Willingness and proven ability to work across changing domains, teams and use cases rather than focusing on one fixed product area.
