Job summary

SystemsAccountants Inc. seeks a Senior Accountant fluent in German with strong NetSuite expertise to deliver German-focused accounting and assist audits in Germany. You will handle month/year-end closings and liaise with tax advisors, while contributing to process improvements as the company expands its Netsuite implementation in Germany.

You should have 3 years of experience, solid knowledge of HGB/IFRS, and fluent German with good English. Location: NRW, Germany, with home-office possible.

Job description

An international technology company is looking for a Senior Accountant (German-speaking) with good knowledge of Oracle Netsuite to support their Accounting team.

The company is growing and has recently implemented Netsuite in Germany to support their expansion. They are looking for an experienced accountant to join their team and focus on delivering accounting for Germany, as well as supporting the audit, working on Month and Year-End closing and other areas. The company is also improving their finance processes and systems so there will be the opportunity to work on process analysis and improvement projects, as well as areas such as Automation.

Your role:

• Financial Accounting according to HGB / German GAAP or IFRS, depending on entity location and requirements
• Accounting in Netsuite and related integrated Financial Systems
• Delivering month end / Year end closing activities
• Preparation for Audit
• Liaising with German Steuerberater (Tax Accountants) and Audit teams
• Accounts Receiveable, Bank Recs and Accounts Payable records reconciliation
• Recording transactions, posting journals, reconciling accounts across
• Preparing financial statements / management reports
• Finance process analysis and improvement

Your experience:

• Senior Accountant with 3 years' experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, ideally German GAAP HGB / IFRS
• Fluent German and good working knowledge of English
• Experience using Oracle Netsuite or similar financial systems
