Your mission
Join our Finance Team as a Senior Accountant – Focus on Tax & Financial Accounting We are looking for someone with a strong eye for detail, a structured way of working, and solid knowledge in financial accounting and tax regulations. In this role, you’ll take on key responsibilities in day-to-day accounting, support tax-related topics, and help prepare financial statements – all while contributing to the continuous improvement of our accounting processes.
Your responsibilities – with a focus on financial accounting and tax topics:
- Independently handle day-to-day financial accounting tasks, especially reviewing and booking incoming and outgoing invoices as well as managing payment transactions and the preliminary VAT return
- Take ownership of current accounting operations in general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable – in close collaboration with your colleagues in the Finance team
- Support and independently prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB, together with the Accounting team
- Assist in preparing tax filings and act as a point of contact for external tax advisors and auditors
- Manage and oversee virtual credit cards for middle management and the purchasing department
- Collaborate closely with the Controlling team to create ad-hoc analyses and financial reports
- Actively contribute to the improvement and development of accounting and tax-related processes as well as to internal Finance projects
Your profile
Required:
- Successfully completed training as a tax accountant or completed studies with a focus on accounting / taxes
- Several years of relevant professional experience, e.g. in a tax consultancy or in an accounting department
- Solid expertise in payment transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly and annual financial statements
- Confident handling of the accounting software DATEV is a must
- Very good knowledge of commercial law (HGB), IFRS knowledge is a plus
- Very high quality standards for work results as well as reliability and sense of responsibility
- You are a team player and can organize yourself well
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, is required
- You speak fluent German and very good English
Required:
- A passion for gaming and esports
- You have a keen sense for digital topics and a natural understanding of software such as Jira, Candis and Confluence
- Experience with intercompany invoicing is a plus
