We are seeking passionate and talented professionals to join our Medicaroid Europe GmbH headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany, founded in 2020, to help drive the adoption and advancement of robotic‑assisted surgery across Europe.

Role Overview

As Medicaroid Europe GmbH continues to grow, we are taking the next step in professionalizing our internal finance function. We are therefore looking for an experienced Senior Accountant (m/f/d) to join us as our first dedicated finance hire.

This role is designed for a hands‑on accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership, building structures from scratch, and acting as a trusted financial partner. You will be responsible for establishing robust accounting processes and serving as the central internal interface to our external tax advisory firm.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage the company's accounting processes and structures
  • Perform day‑to‑day accounting operations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Act as the main point of contact for the external tax advisory firm
  • Provide financial insights and analyses to support management decisions
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
  • Set up financial reporting and key performance indicators
  • Support finance‑related projects, including system implementation and automation
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting
  • Prepare, review, and validate all closing‑ and tax‑relevant documentation
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in accounting, ideally in a senior or stand‑alone role
  • Strong knowledge of local GAAP (e.g. HGB); IFRS knowledge is a plus
  • Experience working with external tax advisors
  • Hands‑on, structured, and highly reliable working style
  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Fluent in English and German language
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines
  • Ability to deliver clear relevant information
  • High organizational skills, prioritizing appropriately the task and the support provided
