Zusammenfassung

Rivada Space Networks GmbH is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead day-to-day financial accounting in a dynamic startup environment in Munich/Berlin. The role includes handling VAT returns, monthly closings, and collaboration with external consultants for statutory reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in finance, a formal accounting qualification or BA, and strong German tax knowledge with familiarity in DATEV/NetSuite.

Qualifikationen

• Strong background in financial accounting and monthly/annual statements (HGB).
• Good knowledge of German tax law, including VAT.
• Experience with US GAAP reporting is a plus.

• Independently managing day-to-day financial accounting.

• Preparing monthly financial statements in accordance with HGB with external consultants.
• Assisting in annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and US GAAP.
• Liaison between accounts payable/receivable and other departments (Treasury, Controlling).
• Act as the point of contact for general accounting and tax issues.
• Coordinate and manage financial matters with international subsidiaries.
• Contribute to process design in the accounting department.

Your mission

• Independently managing day-to-day financial accounting
• Responsibility for monthly advance sales tax returns and other tax filings
• Preparing monthly financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) in collaboration with external consultants
• Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and U.S. GAAP
• Serve as the liaison between accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as other financial departments such as Treasury and Controlling
• Act as the point of contact for general accounting and tax issues
• Coordinate and manage financial matters with international subsidiaries
• Contribute to process design in the accounting department

What you bring on the table

• Successfully completed training as a certified accountant, tax specialist, or comparable qualification; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on auditing, taxation, accounting, or financial auditing
• At least 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in finance and accounting
• In-depth knowledge of financial accounting and the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
• Nice to have: initial experience in US GAAP reporting
• Good knowledge of German tax law, particularly in the area of value-added tax
• Proficiency in using common accounting, financial reporting, and tax software such as DATEV and NetSuite (and interfaces to these)
• Good command of English and very good written and spoken German
• A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
• A strong hands-on mindset and a passion for taking on responsibility in a dynamic startup or growth environment
• A high degree of initiative and interest in actively shaping and further developing processes
