Qualifikationen

  • Praktische Erfahrung in der mikrotechnologischen Verarbeitung von InP-basierten III-V-Halbleitern.

What you will do
  • Development of microtechnological processes for the lithographic production of, for example, ultrafast photodiodes or photomixers as THz antennas
  • In particular, development of microtechnological processes using micro-transfer printing
  • Detailed characterization and analysis of the manufactured photonic THz components
  • Technical support for the micro-transfer printing system at HHI
  • Collaboration in national and international research projects and implementation of development projects together with industrial partners

The scientific work offers the possibility of a doctorate.

What you bring to the table
  • Completed scientific university degree in physics, electrical engineering or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of microtechnological process engineering (including lithography, etching processes, deposition of metals/dielectrics), semiconductor physics, photonics, and ideally photonic THz technology
  • In-depth practical experience in the microtechnological processing of InP-based III-V semiconductors, for example photodiodes, modulators, or lasers
  • You would like to pursue a PhD
  • You are highly motivated, proactive, and a team player
  • Very good written and spoken German and English

The position is initially limited to 2 years. An extension is explicitly desired.

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
