Your Job:

  • Be part of an engaged, interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers with diverse backgrounds and skills at the interface of neuroscience and computing
  • Coordinate a third-party funded project with the aim of implementing a Neuromorphic Computing infrastructure at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre
  • Manage administrative and scientific steering tasks, including the monitoring and assessment of work progress and quality as well as the writing, editing and timely submission of project reports
  • Contribute to the planning of new research and development projects and the writing of funding applications
  • Communicate with local, national and international project contributors and coordinate the knowledge transfer
  • Network with initiatives from academia and industry to accelerate the translation of research results into opportunities for innovation
  • Plan and organise project meetings and events such as workshops and conferences
  • Collect and prepare material (slides, figures) for presentations
  • Contribute to outreach and dissemination activities, including the drafting and editing of articles and press releases, preparing of dissemination material like brochures and posters, developing material for web pages and social media channels as well as maintaining them

Your Profile:

  • University degree (Master and/or PhD), preferably in a natural science, computer sciences, or mathematics
  • Proven expertise in science management
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, analytical thinking, and a structured, process-oriented approach
  • Ability to work independently and in a team of scientists and engineers with heterogeneous backgrounds
  • Fluent German and English language skills
  • Experience with the organization of events
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to project meetings within Europe
  • Good command of MS Office tools
  • Proven interest in computing and technology would be a plus

  • FIXED-TERM: The position is limited to 2 years.
