Location: Germany

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: define and govern the end‑to‑end SAP BW/HANA data architecture, including strategy, data models (InfoProviders, ADSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views), and integration between source systems (SAP ECC/S/4, non‑SAP) and BW.
• Lead data warehousing standards, naming conventions, and best practices.
• Transformation & Migration: drive the BW to HANA/BW/4HANA transformation roadmap, implement code pushdown optimizations, migrate legacy BW objects, and plan simplification or decommissioning strategies.
• Assess impact of initiatives such as S/4 transformation and other integrations.
• Data Integration & Modeling: architect ingestion frameworks (ODP, SLT, SDA, SDI, APIs), ensure optimal staging, design real‑time/near‑real‑time scenarios, and oversee data harmonization and quality frameworks.
• Performance Optimization: optimize data models and queries (BEx, Analysis for Office, SAC), HANA calculations, and leverage HANA‑native capabilities (Calculation Views, CDS).
• Reporting & Analytics Enablement: define architecture for BEx, Analysis for Office, SAP BO (WebI), and enable self‑service BI and semantic layer design.
• Delivery & Governance: provide technical leadership to the BW team, review functional specifications and technical designs, ensure alignment with SOW, SLAs, and delivery expectations, and work closely with functional, integration, and business stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Management: drive client discussions on scope, feasibility, and roadmap, translate business requirements into scalable data architecture, and provide inputs for estimation, capacity and execution planning.
