Jobbeschreibung

Your mission

As Sales Development Representative at OKAPI:Orbits, your mission is to fuel the growth of space-traffic-coordination and space-safety adoption worldwide. You turn OKAPI:Orbits' vision of a safer, more sustainable space environment into commercial momentum by identifying promising prospects, opening new conversations, and building the foundation of trusted relationships across the global space industry.

Through sharp market research, persistent outreach, and a genuine curiosity for the space sector, you connect with satellite operators, launch providers, insurers, defence and governmental organizations to spark their interest in navigating space more safely and efficiently. Your work ensures that OKAPI:Orbits' cutting-edge technologies reach the right people at the right time, generating the qualified pipeline that powers our growth in the expanding space economy.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects through proactive outbound outreach, from initial contact to qualified handoff to the sales team
  • Research and identify key industry stakeholders, such as integrators, platform providers, and data providers, to uncover new business opportunities
  • Represent OKAPI:Orbits at conferences, trade fairs, and industry events to generate leads and strengthen brand visibility
  • Maintain accurate lead tracking, activity logging, and reporting by keeping our existing CRM Hubspot setup clean and up to date but also integrate new Hubspot functionalities
  • Support the sales team through the early commercial lifecycle, including qualifying inbound leads, scheduling discovery calls, and preparing initial account research

Must-haves
  • 2-3 years of B2B/B2G sales, business development, or outbound prospecting experience, ideally in aerospace, space operations, SaaS, Earth observation, defense, aviation, or other high-tech/regulated industries
  • Strong research skills: able to identify relevant prospects, understand their organizational structure, and tailor outreach accordingly
  • Proven ability to generate and qualify leads through cold outreach, with persistence and resilience in the face of rejection
  • Comfortable engaging with international contacts, including government agencies, satellite operators, service providers, and integrators
  • Familiarity with CRM-driven sales processes, ideally HubSpot, and disciplined activity logging
  • Able to explain complex technical concepts clearly enough to spark interest from non-technical decision makers
  • Strong ability to qualify leads and build early-stage trust before handing off to the sales team
  • Clear, confident communicator, comfortable on the phone and in writing, with excellent presentation skills
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, able to manage a high volume of outreach activity daily
Nice-to-haves
  • Some exposure to proposal support, pricing basics, or RFP processes

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Aerospace, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Additional training in sales, communication, or space sector topics
Why us?
  • With a lean hierarchy and small working groups, you define your own way of work including flexible work hours.
  • Work on groundbreaking space sustainability challenges with a team of top-tier engineers and scientists.
  • Grow continuously with access to training budgets, industry conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Great team spirit, with company-wide events such as social activities like laser tag, dinners, and team-building outings.
  • 30 days of Vacation and Workation
  • Bahncard (25 if you live in Brunswick, 50 if you live outside of the city)
  • Subsidized Hansefit / Wellpass Membership
  • Free Drinks & Snacks in the office (the good ones)
  • Bikeleasing
  • Company Pension Scheme
  • Coporate Benifits (Discount on Brands, Concerts, Holidays)
