Sales Development Representative – Canonical
Canonical is a global software company that publishes Ubuntu and open‑source enterprise solutions for cloud, developer, IoT and AI. We partner with industry leaders such as Google, Amazon, IBM and Microsoft to help companies accelerate technology adoption. As a Sales Development Representative you will collaborate with regional sales and marketing teams, identify customer projects that fit Canonical’s product lines and champion our brand across multiple industries and geographies.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound customer inquiries via email, phone and chat.
- Execute outbound sales & marketing campaigns.
- Travel to events and conferences worldwide to present on booths and generate face‑to‑face sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and senior stakeholders to drive results.
- Work directly with marketing on campaign development.
- Research prospective customer information.
- Generate a multi‑million pound pipeline.
- Identify prospects and market trends.
- Help define team processes and policies.
- Liaise with new and existing customers, set up and attend meetings, and actively map accounts to identify new opportunities.
- Accurately create, update, maintain and nurture leads on global opportunities.
