The Team

The Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) Services team at A&M provides comprehensive advice throughout the mergers and acquisitions lifecycle. The team works alongside the award‑winning Transaction Advisory Group (TAG), the largest such practice outside the Big Four, to create value for buyers and sellers by enhancing deal negotiations, optimizing purchase prices, and expediting deal closures.

As part of the EMEA SPA Services team, you will work on high‑profile transactions across geographies, providing expert advice on SPA‑related financial and strategic implications. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a global team of experts, gain exposure to diverse industries, and contribute to impactful transactions.

How you will contribute
  • Provide expert advice on the financial and strategic implications of sale and purchase agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence to identify potential risks and opportunities affecting transaction prices.
  • Assist clients in negotiating financial terms and conditions of SPAs.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis and testing to support transaction and purchase price decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering tailored solutions related to SPAs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in SPA Advisory, Transaction Services, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and language skills to effectively comment on SPAs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • A strong academic record and professional qualifications such as ICAEW, ACA, CPA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Fluent business‑level German and English; additional European languages (e.g., French, Dutch, Swedish, Italian, or Spanish) are highly desirable.
