Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MMH 7 unit. You will deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families guided by hospital policies and ANA ethics.

The ideal candidate has 1 year inpatient experience, Medical-Surgical RN background, and strong customer service skills. A dynamic interdisciplinary team and quarterly educational workshops are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). In lieu of Bachelors, an ASN plus 1 year of relevant experience may be considered.
• Registered Nurse (RN) – current licensure as an RN in the State of FL.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
• Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs.
• Participates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice.
• Participates in professional development based on the nursing professionals standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.

Biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning needs are addressed in all steps of the nursing process. We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse for our MMH 7 Unit. This 24 bed unit provides a dynamic working environment that specializes in gynecology, sarcoma, thoracic, breast, and plastic surgery patients. Our nursing staff provides knowledgeable and skilled care within a unique interdisciplinary team. We offer quarterly educational workshops.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Salary Range

$36.63 - $54.93

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
