Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 3 North tele med-surg unit (22 beds) at Magnolia. You will deliver individualized nursing care to cancer patients and families, following ANA ethics and hospital guidelines, in a private-room setting with Nuclear Medicine and radiation therapy patients.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of inpatient experience, a nursing degree (BSN preferred), active RN license in Florida, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Nursing.
• In lieu of Bachelors, an Associate’s degree in Nursing plus 1 year of relevant experience may be considered.
• Preferred Education-Master’s Degree.
• RN licensure in FL or multi-state with FL as primary residence within 30 days of hire if licensed elsewhere.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• 1 year of inpatient hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse delivers individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families according to hospital guidelines and ANA code of ethics.
• Registered Nurses embody the vision and philosophy of Moffitt Nursing and provide personalized patient and family centered care.
• Utilize the nursing process to plan and manage quality patient care across biophysical, psychosocial, environmental and discharge planning needs.

We are currently looking for aRegistered Nurse for our 3 North unit for our3 Northunit at Moffitt Cancer Center Magnolia. This 22‑bed tele med‑surg unit with all private rooms. Our patient population ranges from young adults to older adults, and we care for two specialty groups: NucRad patients, who receive IV nuclear medicine treatments for ocular melanoma and Brachy patients, who receive pinpointed radiation therapy and typically have a short length of stay.

Overall, our patients are those undergoing treatment who’ve experienced a setback and need additional support. This environment offers a great opportunity to strengthen your assessment skills, as we encounter all organ systems—not just single‑system disease processes.

The Ideal Candidate

• The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• 1 year of inpatient hospital experience
• Medical Surgery experience as a registered nurse

Credentials and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Nursing
• In lieu of Bachelors, an Associate’s degree in Nursing plus 1 year of relevant experience may be considered
• Preferred Education-Master’s Degree
• Registered Nurse (RN)RN-Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of FL, or a valid Multi-State privilege to practice in FL (must declare FL as primary State of residence within 30 days from date of hire if licensed in another eNLC compact state with multi-state privileges)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Minimum Experience Required:

• Refer to RN Clinical Ladder for level requirements.

Salary Range

$36.63 - $54.93
