Zusammenfassung

The Mobility House in Munich is seeking a Risk Controller who reports directly to the CFO and works closely with senior management to shape risk strategy and governance across trading activities.

You will monitor and analyze market, credit, and liquidity risks, develop risk models, and prepare daily risk reporting for the trading desk and leadership, collaborating with Front Office, IT, and Compliance.

Qualifikationen

• Completed degree in business, mathematics, physics, finance or a related field.
• Professional experience in risk controlling, ideally within trading environments.
• Strong knowledge of risk metrics like VaR and stress testing.
• Fluent German and English (written and spoken).

Aufgaben

• Report directly to the CFO and partner with senior management.
• Monitor and analyze operational, market, credit and liquidity risks.
• Evaluate portfolios and trading strategies for risk-return (VaR, P&L attribution, stress tests).
• Develop and maintain risk models, limit systems and stress tests for trading activities.
• Prepare and develop daily risk reporting for the trading desk and management.
• Monitor position limits, counterparty exposures, and trading strategies; collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Treasury, IT and Compliance.
• Contribute to the further development of risk policy in light of market changes and regulations (EMIR, MiFID II).

What you do

• As a Risk Controller, you will report directly to the CFO. This position offers close exposure to strategic decision - making while working in partnership with senior management and key stakeholders across the business
• Monitoring and analysis of operational, market, credit, and liquidity risks arising from trading activities (Front Office)
• Evaluation of portfolios and trading strategies regarding risk-return ratios (e.g., VaR, P&L attribution, sensitivity analyses)
• Development and maintenance of risk models, limit systems, and stress tests for trading activities
• Preparation and ongoing development of daily risk reporting for the trading desk and management
• Monitoring of position limits, counterparty exposures, and trading strategies
• Close collaboration with Front Office, Middle Office, Treasury, IT, and Compliance
• Contribution to the further development of risk policy in the context of market changes and regulations (e.g., EMIR, MiFID II)

Who you are

• Completed degree in Business, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, or a related field
• Professional experience in risk controlling, ideally within a trading environment (energy, commodities, derivatives, FX, fixed income, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of risk methodologies and metrics (e.g., Value-at-Risk, stress testing, backtesting)
• Experience with relevant tools and systems (e.g., ETRM/CTRM systems, Bloomberg, Matlab, Python, SQL, Power BI)
• Analytical mindset, strong IT aptitude, and a proactive approach
• Fluent written and spoken German and English
