Riverty is seeking a Risk Analyst - Client Underwriting (m/f/d) on a limited contract, with flexible location in Verl or Berlin. You will manage customer credit risk for BNPL products across Europe, analyze portfolios, and optimize risk steering rules in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifikationen

• Desire to gain practical knowledge in credit risk steering of consumer portfolios (scoring, decision engines, ML) in an international context.
• Strong data analysis capabilities and experience with SQL.
• Professional experience in the finance industry.
• Team player with flexibility and resilience; English required, German a plus.

Aufgaben

• Manage customer credit risk for Buy Now Pay Later products across Europe.
• Analyze and assess risk of consumer portfolios and optimize rules on merchant/portfolio level.
• Improve data analysis processes and support product expansion efforts.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to implement model changes.
• Advise Key Account Management on risk steering to maximize customer value.
• Support development of risk steering platforms and data provider management.
• Coordinate with BI to enhance monitoring, reporting, and advanced analytics.

Risk Analyst - Client Underwriting (m/f/d) (limited contract)

What will be your challenge:

• Customer credit risk management for our products in the Buy Now Pay Later area across Europe
• Analysis and risk assessment of our consumer portfolios and their ongoing optimization via customization of business rules on merchant and overall portfolio level
• Continuous improvement of underlying data analysis and existing business processes to support our product expansion in new areas
• Collaboration in cross-functional teams working on giant-leap changes in models
• Consulting Key Account Management regarding risk steering measures to maximize customer value
• Supporting the development of our risk steering platforms and the data provider management
• Furthermore, you interact with the BI experts to improve overall monitoring/reporting and the application of advanced analytics

Qualifications

What will help you to succeed in the role:

• Academic educational skills - Degree in mathematics, statistics, or business/economics, preferably with a quantitative focus
• Eager to collect distinct practical knowledge in the application of methods for credit risk steering of consumer portfolios (scoring, decision engines, machine learning) in an international context
• Profound analytical/technical understanding and experience in creating individual data analysis (SQL skills required)
• Professional experience in the finance industry
• You are a team player, flexible and resilient
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and German would be a huge benefit
