Zusammenfassung

BIRKENSTOCK in Köln is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to support store openings, relocations, and digital store technologies across Europe. You will coordinate infrastructure setup, manage external providers, and ensure high availability of POS and network systems on site.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, documentation of standards, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams while traveling within Europe as needed. Fluent German and good English are expected.

Qualifikationen

• Completed vocational training in a commercial, technical, or IT-related field.
• Initial professional experience in Retail Operations, store infrastructure, IT support, Facility Management, or project coordination.
• Basic understanding of network technology, hardware, POS systems, and digital store technologies.
• Experience with external service providers and stakeholders is an advantage.
• Experience documenting and tracking projects and tickets.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and responsible approach with strong communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel within Europe and provide on-site support.
• Confident use of Microsoft 365; advanced M365 skills preferred.
• Very good written and spoken German and good English; additional European languages are an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Support the planning, preparation, and execution of store openings, relocations, refurbishments, and closures.
• Coordinate the technical setup of stores, including network infrastructure, hardware, POS systems, payment solutions, and digital store technologies.
• Support the reliable operation of all technical store systems and conduct quality and functionality checks before openings and after changes.
• Document infrastructure standards, processes, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with external service providers and tech partners, including scheduling installations, maintenance, and rollouts.
• Support national infrastructure, digitalization, and omnichannel projects and pilot new technologies in stores.
• Assist stores with technical questions and incidents and analyze infrastructure and hardware issues.
• Ensure technical requests are resolved promptly with a solutions-oriented approach.
• Share responsibility for the IT ticket dashboard and monitor service levels from providers and BIRKENSTOCK IT.
• Assist in organizing, executing, and following up on meetings.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the planning, preparation, and execution of store openings, relocations, refurbishments, and closures.
• Coordinate the technical setup of stores, including network infrastructure, hardware, POS systems, payment solutions, and digital store technologies.
• Support the reliable operation of all technical store systems and conduct quality and functionality checks before store openings and following technical changes.
• Document infrastructure standards, processes, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate and follow up with external service providers and technology partners, including the scheduling of installations, maintenance activities, and rollouts.
• Support national infrastructure, digitalization, and omnichannel projects, and contribute to pilot projects and the implementation of new technologies in the store environment.
• Support stores with technical questions and incidents, and analyze and follow up on infrastructure and hardware issues.
• Ensure technical requests are handled promptly and with a solution-oriented approach.
• Share responsibility for the IT ticket dashboard and support the monitoring of service levels provided by external service providers and BIRKENSTOCK IT.
• Support the organization, execution, and follow-up of meetings.

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed vocational training in a commercial, technical, or IT-related field, or a comparable qualification.
• Initial professional experience in Retail Operations, store infrastructure, IT support, Facility Management, project coordination, or a comparable role.
• Basic understanding of network technology, hardware, POS systems, and digital store technologies.
• Experience working with external service providers and various stakeholders is an advantage.
• Experience in documenting and tracking projects and tickets.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and responsible approach to work, combined with strong communication and coordination skills.
• Hands-on mentality, high level of commitment, and willingness to provide on-site support, combined with a collaborative and service-oriented mindset.
• Curiosity about technology and openness to digital innovation, with an interest in cross-functional collaboration.
• High willingness to travel within Europe.
• Confident use of Microsoft 365; advanced M365 skills are preferred.
• Very good written and spoken German and good English skills; additional European languages are an advantage.
