Austability GmbH, a leading European Defence contracting organisation, is seeking an experienced Resource & Logistics Coordinator to provide comprehensive resource planning, workforce scheduling, and logistics coordination for operations across US military training installations in Bavaria, Germany. This appointment represents an opportunity to assume a critical coordination role within a high-value Defence contract supporting a Military Training Command. The successful candidate will join a proven organisation with an established track record of delivering quality‑assured logistics support services to military clients.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Deputy Portfolio Manager, the Resource & Logistics Coordinator holds accountability for personnel scheduling, equipment management, and government property accountability across three Bavarian training areas, including Ansbach (ATA).
Key Accountabilities
- Development and maintenance of personnel schedules ensuring 24/7 operational coverage across all sites.
- Coordination of shift patterns, rotations, and relief coverage for food service, custodial, transportation, equipment distribution, forklift, and fuel distribution operations.
- Management of vehicle fleet operations including buses, cargo trucks, and forklifts.
- Maintenance of 95% equipment availability through preventative maintenance coordination.
- Implementation of 24‑hour vehicle replacement protocols and backup equipment positioning.
- Government property accountability, inventory reconciliation, and property reporting.
- Subcontractor performance monitoring and scheduling alignment.
- Support of team retention initiatives contributing to organisational targets.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years' experience in resource planning and logistics coordination.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in workforce scheduling for 24/7 operations.
- Experience with government property management and accountability.
- Demonstrated experience managing vehicle fleets and equipment inventories.
- Experience working within Defence or government contracting environments.
- Experience coordinating subcontractor performance and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, or related field.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and resource management systems.
- Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management advantageous (e.g., CILT, APICS).
- Valid driver's license.
