Qualifikationen

  • Master's degree in engineering, chemistry, physics or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of mathematical modeling and chemistry.
  • Strong interest in battery modeling and scientific research.
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English.
  • Experience with simulation tools is an advantage.

Your Tasks
  • Conduct research on and contribute to the further development of lithium‑metal batteries as part of an international team of leading German and US scientists.
  • Develop and apply model‑based approaches to improve the safety and stability of lithium‑metal batteries.
  • Create models to capture degradation processes at elevated temperatures and identify strategies to mitigate battery degradation.
  • Collaborate closely with experimental and simulation partners in an interdisciplinary research environment, including research stays abroad.

Your Profile
  • Excellent Master's degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of mathematical modeling and chemistry
  • Strong enthusiasm for scientific research and interdisciplinary problem-solving
  • Strong interest in battery modeling
  • Experience with simulation tools is an advantage
  • High level of initiative, creativity, and the ability to work independently
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Good written and spoken German and English language skills
