A leading research university in Germany is looking for a Research Associate in the attosecond science team. You'll conduct groundbreaking experiments using advanced technology to observe and manipulate electronic processes at the atomic scale. Ideal candidates will have a master's degree in a related field and experience with lasers or spectroscopy. This role offers an attractive work-life balance, flexible hours, and 30 vacation days annually.
Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.
We are opening a new Research Associate position in the attosecond science team at the Center for Free-Electron Laser Science (CFEL) in Hamburg. In the CFEL-ATTO group, we develop advanced attosecond technology to track and control electron dynamics in matter. Our approach enables real-time observation of electronic processes and manipulation of properties at the atomic scale. The Research Associate will conduct experiments combining tunable few-femtosecond UV-vis and attosecond soft X-ray pulses with liquid jet technology, as well as measurements at large-scale facilities to control matter’s functionality with laser light.
A university degree in a relevant field.
