The Heidelberg Institute of Global Health seeks a Senior Coordinator to support the Director in advancing the Institute’s mission to improve health outcomes in low-resource settings through research, education, and international collaboration.

Your tasks
  • Conduct literature searches and manage search outputs
  • Support evidence synthesis and analysis
  • Support qualitative research activities
  • Coordinate Expert Group meetings and consultations
  • Contribute to research outputs and stakeholder communication
  • Maintain project documentation and timelines
  • Participate in emerging climate & health research activities and special projects
Your profile
  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Global Health, Environmental Health, Health Policy, or a related field, with demonstrated research experience; or a bachelor’s degree with substantial relevant experience.
  • Strong research skills, including database searching, evidence mapping, and qualitative analysis, with experience using qualitative coding software such as NVivo or Atlas.ti.
  • Experience supporting or conducting key informant interviews, including preparation, scheduling, interviewing (where appropriate), and transcript review.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically and professionally with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines, maintaining strong attention to detail in research materials and documentation.
  • Flexibility and teamwork, with the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote, fast-paced research environment.
  • Proficiency in English is required; German language skills are an asset.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional travel to Heidelberg and one additional European location.
