We are looking for a PhD student to work on the following tasks and qualifications:

  • Empirical observation of plant‑pollinator networks
  • Statistical analysis of interaction networks and testing their predictability using machine learning methods
  • Analysis of the spatial genetic structure of plants using next‑generation sequencing (NGS)
  • A M.Sc. degree in biology, ecology, or related fields. If already available, please include your M.Sc. thesis in your application.
  • Good knowledge of native vascular plants as well as an interest in pollinators and in fieldwork
  • Experience and interest in statistical analysis in R
  • Interest and, ideally, prior knowledge of population genetic laboratory methods
  • Good knowledge of English and the Interest in writing scientific publications
