roadsurfer is seeking a Regional Fleet Manager to lead maintenance, repair, and fleet transfer across a multi-station region. You will manage a team of technicians, fleet managers, and damage-detection experts while driving availability, efficiency, and cost control for ~1000 vehicles at 10 stations.
You will define repair strategies, coordinate workshops, and optimize the network to improve turnaround times. Travel to internal stations and external vendors is required.

As Regional Fleet Manager you are a key member of the Regional Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Market Fleet Manager, assigned to the Regional Operations Manager of your region.
You’ll lead all Technicians within your region, with indirect oversight of Fleet Managers and Damage Detection Experts for ca. 1000 vehicles at 10 Stations. Your mission: drive fleet availability, repair turn-around, cost efficiency, and quality across region — keeping our fleet running smoothly and our operations performing at their best.
Own the Maintenance, Repair and Fleet Transfer budget and ensure cost-efficient, high-quality repairs across the region such as Repair Strategy, Workshop Network, Spare Parts Inventory
Define repair strategies per vehicle based on damage reports and operational priorities.
Maintain strong vehicle availability by coordinating workshop capacity, scheduling, and spare parts flow.
Build and optimize the internal and external workshop network to improve turnaround times and cost efficiency.
Lead and develop fleet teams at the station (technicians, fleet managers, damage detection experts) ensuring consistent performance and technical capability, damage detection rates and sparte parts inventory.
Track key KPIs such as repair cost, time, and damage detection accuracy and driving strategic initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Degree or Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or similar technical field.
5+ years of experience in fleet management, maintenance, repair, or workshop management.
3+ years of direct people management experience, preferably in a technical and operational environment
Strong analytical and budgeting skills with a focus on efficiency and quality.
Confident leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment; travel to internal stations and external vendors within the region required.
Fluency in German and English, written and spoken
Proficient in maintenance or fleet management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
The salary range for this position is up to €60,000 gross annually. Your salary will be reviewed at least once a year during an annual performance review.
