Barrington James is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join the client’s team, based around Mannheim with travel across the DACH region. You will repair, maintain and oversee refrigeration systems at customer sites and coordinate third‑party contractors to ensure compliance with EU environmental regulations.

Ideal candidates have Meister level training, strong refrigerant handling credentials, and fluency in German and English.

Qualifikationen

• Completed training as a refrigeration systems technician, ideally Meister level.
• Certified and experienced in handling refrigerants, with a background in industrial refrigeration field service.
• Strong knowledge of European regulations including the F-Gas Regulation (EU 517/2014).

Aufgaben

• Carry out repair and maintenance work at customer sites internationally.
• Coordinate and plan third-party contractors, and monitor their work against contracts and reports.
• Support contract renewals with third parties in collaboration with back office.
• Manage and maintain the company's refrigerant stock.
• Create and monitor status overviews of refrigeration systems in the field.
• Ensure all systems comply with local refrigeration regulations.
• Handle and document customer complaints via the CSM system.

Our client is a global leader in automated cold storage systems, developing and manufacturing advanced robotic solutions used by pharmaceutical companies and biobanks worldwide to store samples at temperatures as low as -80°C. Their technology plays a critical role in clinical research and drug development, keeping some of the world's most sensitive biological materials safely preserved.

We're looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join their team, covering the Mannheim/Köln region with travel across the DACH area.

What you'll be doing:

• Carrying out repair and maintenance work at customer sites internationally
• Coordinating and planning third party contractors, and monitoring and evaluating their work against contracts and reports
• Supporting contract renewals with third parties in close collaboration with the back office
• Managing and maintaining the company's own refrigerant stock
• Creating, maintaining and monitoring status overviews of refrigeration systems in the field
• Ensuring all systems are maintained in line with local regulations governing refrigeration technology
• Handling and documenting customer complaints via the CSM system

What you'll bring:

• Completed training as a refrigeration systems technician, ideally to Meister level
• Certified and experienced in handling refrigerants, with a background in industrial refrigeration field service
• Confident handling complex tasks such as leak detection and brazing, including in hard to access locations
• Strong customer focus and a solution oriented approach to teamwork
• Knowledge of relevant European regulations, including the F-Gas Regulation (EU 517/2014)
• Willingness to travel internationally within the DACH region, with a valid Category B driving licence
• Good German and English language skills
