ficonTEC Service GmbH in Achim sucht eine/n R&D Mechanical Designer (m/w/d) in Vollzeit zur Entwicklung und Optimierung mechanischer Systeme für Photonik-Anwendungen.
Sie bringen ein abgeschlossenes Maschinenbau- oder Mechatronik-Studium mit, verfügen über 2+ Jahre Erfahrung, starke CAD-Fähigkeiten (SolidWorks/OnShape) und Kenntnisse in Simulationen sowie PDM/PLM. Arbeitsort ist vor Ort; Englisch- und Deutschkenntnisse sind erforderlich.
Qualifikationen
- Abgeschlossenes Studium im Maschinenbau, Mechatronik oder vergleichbar.
- Mindestens zwei Jahre einschlägige Berufserfahrung im Maschinenbau; Erfahrung im Sondermaschinenbau bevorzugt.
- Sehr gute CAD-Kenntnisse (SolidWorks/OnShape) sowie Verständnis von Fertigungsverfahren, Materialien und Toleranzen.
- Erfahrung mit mechanischen/thermischen Simulationen; Kenntnisse in PDM/PLM-Systemen.
- Hands-on-Mentalität, lösungsorientiert; selbstständige, detailorientierte Arbeitsweise.
- Gute Englisch- und Deutschkenntnisse; Arbeit in internationalen Projekten möglich.
- Flexibilität und Belastbarkeit in einem dynamischen R&D-Umfeld.
Aufgaben
- Entwurf und Entwicklung maßgeschneiderter Module, Bauteile, Baugruppen oder kompletter Systeme für Photonik-Mikromontage und -prüfung.
- Entwicklung, Verbesserung und Optimierung bestehender Systeme hinsichtlich Leistung, Herstellbarkeit, Zuverlässigkeit und Kosten.
- Durchführung mechanischer Systemauslegung, Materialauswahl, Toleranzen und Fertigungsprozesse.
- Durchführung kreativer Design-Lösungen bei technischen Herausforderungen.
- Anwendung mechanischer/thermischer Simulationen zur Optimierung des Designs.
- Erstellung von 2D/3D-CAD-Modellen, Zeichnungen, Stücklisten (BOMs) und vollständiger Dokumentation.
- Unterstützung bei Inbetriebnahme, Abnahme und Werksabnahme der Maschinen.
- Teilnahme an Projektmeetings mit internen Teams und internationalen Kunden; Fortschritt kommunizieren.
- Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Design, Systemtechnik, Automatisierung, Elektrik, Produktion und Logistik.

R&D Mechanical Designer (m/f/d)immediately & full time
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
- At least two years of relevant professional experience in mechanical engineering; experience in special-purpose machine construction is preferred
- Strong skills in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks or OnShape) and a good understanding of manufacturing methods, materials and tolerances
- Experience with mechanical/thermal simulations and familiarity with PDM/PLM systems
- Hands-on mentality and strong problem-solving skills

We are actively seeking a skilled and highly motivated R&D Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team. As an integral member of our R&D Team, you will be responsible for the concept, design and verification of new hardware in the area of photonics micro assembly & testing machines. We serve international clients across diverse sectors, and we combine cutting-edge engineering with hands-on implementation and global collaboration.
- Design and engineer custom modules, components, assemblies, or complete systems for photonics micro assembly and testing.
- Develop, improve, and optimize existing systems with respect to performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
- Perform mechanical systems sizing, material, tolerance, and manufacturing process selection.
- Conduct creative brainstorming sessions and develop innovative design solutions for technical challenges that have not yet been solved
- Use of mechanical and thermal simulations to analyze the behavior and optimize the design.
- Produce 2D and 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, parts lists (BOMs), and full documentation.
- Support machine installation, commissioning, and final acceptance testing.
- Participate in project meetings with internal teams and international clients; communicate design progress and design decisions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams: operational design , systems engineering, automation, electrical, production, and logistics.
