Job summary

Texas Instruments Europe offers a hands-on internship in Freising, Germany, where you will work with engineers to understand TI datasheet details and EVM guides, enabling you to analyze device functions and performance.

You will measure key parameters with oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and temperature chambers, documenting results in standardized bench verification reports and building an EVM database for logistics.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Software Engineering; final year preferred but not required.
• Minimum internship duration 6 months; extension to 8 months preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Self-driven analysis of TI datasheets and EVM user guides to understand key device specific functions and parameters
• Development of lab bench setups to evaluate customer reported failures across a wide variety of TI products spanning from analog power to analog signal chain devices
• Measurement of critical functional parameters to verify proper function of the device leverage different measurement equipment’s like oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators and temperature chambers.
• Proper documentation of the measurement results in standardized bench verification reports
• Build up an EVM database and maintain the logistics

Aufgabenbereiche

• Eigenständige Analyse von TI-Datenblättern und EVM-User-Guides, um gerätespezifische Funktionen und Parameter zu verstehen.
• Entwicklung von Laboraufbauten zur Evaluierung von kundenseitig gemeldeten Fehlern bei einer Vielzahl von TI-Produkten (vom Bereich Analog Power bis hin zu Analog Signal Chain).
• Messung kritischer Funktionsparameter zur Verifizierung der korrekten Gerätefunktion unter Einsatz verschiedener Messgeräte wie Oszilloskopen, Multimetern, Funktionsgeneratoren und Thermokammern.
• Systematische Dokumentation der Messergebnisse in standardisierten Bench-Verifizierungsberichten.
• Aufbau einer EVM-Datenbank sowie Durchführung der zugehörigen Logistik- und Bestandsverwaltung.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering Final year student preferred but not required.
• Minimum time required 6 Months, preferred extended to 8 Months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with basic lab equipment, including power supplies, Digital Multi-meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Python scripting and/or LabView experience would be an advantage.
• Understanding of circuit schematics and PCBs along with knowledge of passive components.
• Good knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Power Point)
• English knowledge in speaking and writing
• Curious to investigate and analyze problems

Mindestanforderungen

• Aktive Immatrikulation in einem Bachelor- oder Masterstudiengang der Informatik, Software Engineering o. Ä.
• Studenten im letzten Studienjahr bevorzugt, aber nicht zwingend erforderlich.
• Mindestdauer des Praktikums: 6 Monate (eine Verlängerung auf 8 Monate wird bevorzugt).

Zusätzliche Anforderungen

• Praktische Erfahrung im Umgang mit grundlegender Laborausrüstung (z. B. Netzteile, Digitalmultimeter, Oszilloskope etc.).
• Kenntnisse in Python-Scripting und/oder LabVIEW sind von Vorteil.
• Verständnis von Schaltplänen und PCBs sowie Kenntnisse über passive Bauelemente.
• Gute Kenntnisse in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.
• Ausgeprägte Neugier bei der Untersuchung und Analyse von Problemen.
