Zusammenfassung

Yalwa GmbH in Wiesbaden is seeking a dedicated QA Engineer to join the team. You will design and execute end-to-end tests for web and mobile apps, build and optimize Playwright automation scripts, and participate in broad validation and release readiness activities.

The role requires a solid QA background, experience with STLC, and familiarity with Jira/Confluence. Hybrid work, training opportunities, and modern offices are offered in a collaborative environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Ideally 2–5 years of relevant QA/testing experience.
• Experience in software quality assurance methodologies and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
• Experience with mobile app testing on iOS and Android platforms.
• Familiarity with creating/executing Playwright automation scripts using JavaScript (or similar).
• Experience with version control systems using Git and GitHub workflows.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for direct database queries.

Aufgaben

• End-to-End Testing: design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web apps and mobile apps (iOS & Android).
• Test Automation: create and optimize Playwright scripts, maintain existing scripts, and leverage AI tools for automation acceleration.
• Full-Spectrum Validation: perform functional, smoke, sanity, integration, localization, and regression testing across complex features.
• Shift-Left: collaborate with developers, product managers, designers and DevOps to identify issues early.
• Defect Lifecycle Management: investigate, document, and track bugs in Jira/Confluence; coordinate fixes.
• Environment Verification: ensure quality across environments prior to production and assist with release coordination.
• Cross-Department Syncing: work with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support during showcases and releases.

Your tasks

• End-to-End Testing: Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web applications and native mobile apps (iOS & Android)
• Test Automation: Create and optimize test automation scripts using Playwright (JS), maintain existing scripts and utilize AI tools to accelerate automation workflows
• Full-Spectrum Validation: Perform functional, smoke, sanity, integration, localization, and regression testing across complex features like user registration, ad posting flows, search/filtering logic and premium subscription models
• Shift-Left approach: Work closely with developers, product managers, designers and DevOps teams to identify issues early in the development cycle and ensure high-quality product delivery
• Defect Lifecycle Management: Investigate, document, and track bugs in Jira and Confluence, providing clear feedback to developers, coordinating bug fixes
• Environment Verification: Ensure platform quality across different environments prior to production launch and assist with release coordination
• Cross-Department Syncing: Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support teams during showcases and alignment meetings to safeguard release quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Ideally 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in software quality assurance and testing
• Strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and the STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle)
• Experience with mobile application testing on iOS and Android platforms
• Familiarity with creating and executing Playwright automation scripts using JavaScript (or similar)
• Experience with version control systems using Git and GitHub workflows
• Basic knowledge of SQL for performing direct database queries
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with API and performance testing
• Exposure to AI-driven QA tools, test generation, or intelligent automation platforms
