About The Role
We are seeking two dedicated Anwendungsentwicklerinnen / Anwendungsentwickler for Python (DevOps) to join our IT department at our Bonn location. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining web applications that serve our digital services and customer portals. Your expertise will contribute to the design, implementation, and operational management of Python-based solutions, ensuring high performance, stability, and security. You will work within a collaborative Scrum team, engaging in agile development processes, and actively participate in the continuous enhancement of our DevOps culture. Your responsibilities will include translating complex business requirements into effective technical solutions, managing application monitoring and incident resolution, and developing integrations with internal and external systems. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects involving AI-driven applications and data models, supporting modern web functionalities and automated processes.
Qualifications
- A university degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
- Proven experience in Python development, including automation and application programming.
- Strong commitment to code quality, maintainability, and testing, with a focus on Clean Code principles.
- Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Linux environments, version control systems (Git), and code quality tools (SonarQube).
- Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and developing or integrating REST/SOAP interfaces.
- Ability to work independently with a structured approach and enthusiasm for solving complex challenges collaboratively.
- Ideally, experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer within an agile work environment.
- Excellent communication skills in German, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level).
- Willingness to undertake occasional business trips as required.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based web applications to enhance our customer portals and digital services.
- Participate in the application operation within a DevOps environment, ensuring application stability, performance, and availability through proactive measures and continuous improvements.
- Translate business and technical requirements into feasible system architectures and conduct technical analyses with effort estimations.
- Develop and operate monitoring solutions for applications and interfaces, perform fault analysis, and implement effective error resolution strategies.
- Develop and maintain interfaces for internal and external systems to ensure reliable data exchange and integration.
- Contribute to the development of structured data models and technical foundations for AI-supported applications, automation processes, and modern web functionalities.
- Engage in agile teamwork, collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive technical innovation and promote a DevOps culture.
