Operational Supervisor / Chief Leader is especially responsible for management, operation, and delivery of PMO and Austability GmbH (“Austability”) products and services at multiple locations. The Supervisor / Chief Leader is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational leadership of Base Life Support (BLS) services within a military mission environment. This role ensures the seamless integration of custodial, dining, fuel, transportation, accommodation, and all other services, while maintaining compliance with contractual, safety, and military standards.

Qualifications
  • Experience in program management, technical, defence, or business analysis discipline
  • 3+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification
    • OSHA or HAZMAT training
    • PMP or logistics/supply chain certifications
  • Extensive experience in BLS operations within a USG/DOD or contingency support environment.
  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale camp operations and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally in English
  • Able to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts.
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs.
  • Knowledge of government contracting environment, management/business plans and program reporting.
  • Familiarity with LOGCAP, AFCAP, or similar government support contracts.
  • Excellent communications, presentation, organisational and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail are a must.
  • Must be motivated and a self-improved.
  • Must have a driving license (B) - Valid driver’s license and ability to operate light/medium vehicles
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
  • Lead cross-functional teams delivering BLS services across multiple operational zones.
  • Develop and implement operational plans, staffing models, and service delivery strategies aligned with mission objectives.
  • Develop relationship with local vendors and client supports
  • Operational Oversight
  • Ensure efficient execution of custodial services, DFAC operations, fuel distribution, transportation logistics, waste management, and billeting.
  • Monitor KPIs and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure compliance and performance excellence.
  • Coordinate contingency planning and emergency response protocols.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Enforce adherence to military regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior leadership.
  • Resource & Asset Management
  • Oversee procurement, inventory control, and asset utilization across all BLS domains.
  • Manage fuel reserves, vehicle fleets, and facility maintenance schedules.
  • Optimize resource allocation to meet dynamic mission requirements.
  • Personnel Development
  • Supervise and mentor subordinate supervisors, team leads, and operational staff.
  • Facilitate training programs, performance reviews, and succession planning.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Track key project tasks, monitor project deliverables and timelines, organise project related meetings and develop reports and other deliverables as assigned.
  • Must be present on site and performs other related duties at Project sites as assigned.
