Zusammenfassung

APM Terminals in Bremerhaven, Germany seeks an OT&A Integration and Testing Lead to oversee automation and OT deployments within the NTB Transformation Project. You will govern testing strategy, plan test activities, and coordinate cross-functional teams across operations, IT, and vendors to ensure validated, ready-to-live solutions.

You will drive end-to-end test readiness, manage defect governance, and support transition to live operations with comprehensive documentation and knowledge

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in automation, systems integration, testing, commissioning, OT, or complex industrial tech environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading integration or testing workstreams within multi-vendor projects.
  • Proven experience developing and managing Test Strategies, Test Plans, defect governance, and readiness validation activities.
  • Experience delivering technology deployments within container terminals, industrial automation, or logistics automation.
  • Strong understanding of terminal operating systems and equipment control systems, preferably Navis N4 or equivalent.
  • Experience with PLC-based systems (Siemens), TIA Portal, WinCC, Ignition, safety systems, OT networks.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, Profinet, Profibus, OPC UA, MQTT, APIs, middleware, and industrial cybersecurity.
  • Experience using structured testing and defect management tools (Jira, Xray).
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving across office, project, vendor, and operational environments.
  • English proficiency required; German preferred.

Aufgaben

  • Own and govern the Integration and Testing Strategy for automation deployments across NTB Transformation Project.
  • Develop, maintain Test Plans, schedules, acceptance criteria, and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate testing activities: FAT, SAT, interface, system integration, end-to-end, operational, UAT, performance, readiness.
  • Establish and maintain requirement-to-test traceability across requirements, processes, interfaces, safety, and scenarios.
  • Lead integration planning across OS, equipment control, crane automation, OCR, and OT networks.
  • Manage defect governance: classify, prioritize, root-cause, corrective actions, retesting, escalation.
  • Coordinate with vendors, engineering teams, IT/OT, and stakeholders to meet project requirements.
  • Review supplier testing approaches, deliverables, evidence, and defect resolution progress.
  • Maintain controlled testing docs: strategies, test cases, results, defect reports, readiness, go-live checklists.
  • Lead test readiness reviews, phase-gate reviews, go-live readiness, stabilisation validation.
  • Provide evidence-based readiness input to stakeholders.
  • Support transition to business-as-usual with knowledge transfer and documentation.

As an OT&A Integration and Testing Lead, you will play a critical role in the North Sea Terminal Bremerhaven (NTB) Transformation Project, supporting the successful integration, modernization, and expansion of one of APM Terminals' strategic container terminals. Based in Bremerhaven, Germany, you will lead the governance and execution of integration and testing activities across automation, operational technology, equipment, and system integration workstreams. Working closely with terminal operations, engineering, IT, OT teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders, you will ensure that complex technology solutions are validated, operationally ready, and successfully transitioned into live terminal operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and govern the overall Integration and Testing Strategy for automation and operational technology deployments across the NTB Transformation Project.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage Test Plans, test schedules, acceptance criteria, and governance frameworks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate testing activities including factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, interface testing, system integration testing, end-to-end testing, operational scenario testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, and operational readiness testing.
  • Establish and maintain requirement-to-test traceability across business requirements, operational processes, system interfaces, safety requirements, and operational scenarios.
  • Lead integration planning across terminal operating systems, equipment control systems, crane automation, remote control systems, crane instrumentation systems, OCR solutions, automated equipment, emulation platforms, OT infrastructure, and industrial networks.
  • Manage defect governance processes, including classification, prioritisation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, retesting, and escalation of unresolved risks.
  • Coordinate with vendors, solution providers, engineering teams, IT, OT specialists, and terminal stakeholders to ensure testing activities meet project requirements.
  • Review supplier testing approaches, deliverables, test evidence, and defect resolution progress.
  • Maintain controlled testing documentation, including test strategies, test cases, results, defect reports, readiness assessments, acceptance evidence, and go-live checklists.
  • Lead test readiness reviews, phase-gate reviews, go-live readiness assessments, and stabilisation validation activities.
  • Provide evidence-based readiness input and recommendations to accountable project stakeholders.
  • Support transition into business-as-usual operations through knowledge transfer, documentation handover, and lessons learned.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently across office, project, vendor, and operational environments.
  • English proficiency is required; German proficiency is preferred.
