Zusammenfassung

Sécheron Hasler Group is seeking a Project Manager - Switchgear Construction (m/f/d) to oversee railway power supply projects in Germany. You will manage technical, schedule, and commercial execution, lead diverse teams, liaise with customers, and coordinate with design and commissioning groups.

A strong background in electrical engineering, switchgear, and project management, plus travel willingness, are essential for success.

Qualifikationen

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Knowledge of switchgear design, electrical plant construction (medium-/high-voltage), protection systems.
  • Prior experience as a Project Manager is desired.
  • Excellent communication and commercial skills.
  • Experience leading project teams, contract and claim management, and billing/progress payments.

Aufgaben

  • Overall responsibility for technical, schedule-related, and commercial execution of switchgear projects from planning to on-site commissioning.
  • Supervision and leadership of DC power supply systems within the Sécheron Hasler Group from planning to commissioning.
  • Main interface between customers across Germany and the international project team.
  • Technical coordination with design, engineering, and commissioning teams.
  • Procurement and management of subcontracted services and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate FAT at Prague facility and site acceptance activities at construction sites.
  • Quality management, risk assessment, mitigation planning and documentation.
  • Schedule planning, cost estimation, project controlling, and reporting to management.
  • Customer relationship management, claims management, and change management.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Germany and occasionally internationally.

As part of our rapid growth, we are looking for a Project Manager - Switchgear Construction (m/f/d) to support our railway power supply projects across Germany. Your Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility for the technical, schedule-related, and commercial execution of switchgear projects, from planning through to on-site commissioning.
  • Supervision as well as technical and organizational leadership of DC power supply systems within the Sécheron Hasler Group, from the planning phase through to commissioning on site.
  • Acting as the main interface between customers across Germany and the international project team.
  • Technical coordination with design, engineering, and commissioning teams.
  • Procurement and management of subcontracted services and subcontractors.
  • Coordination of customer factory acceptance tests (FAT) at the Prague facility and site acceptance activities at construction sites.
  • Quality management, including the assessment, monitoring, and documentation of project risks, as well as the implementation of mitigation measures.
  • Schedule planning, cost estimation, project controlling, and reporting to department management.
  • Customer relationship management, claim management, and change management.
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification. Alternatively: further education as a State-Certified Technician or Master Electrician with proven project management experience.
  • Knowledge of switchgear design, electrical plant construction (medium-/high-voltage systems), protection systems, and ideally secondary engineering.
  • Prior experience as a Project Manager is desired.
  • Excellent communication and commercial skills.
  • Experience in leading project teams, contract management, claim management, and billing/progress payment procedures.
  • Proven ability to coordinate project phases professionally and on schedule, including tender preparation, project planning, procurement, execution, commissioning, and final acceptance.
  • You are characterized by a highly independent, flexible, and reliable working style and can perform effectively under pressure. In addition, you possess strong negotiation, influencing, and decision-making skills.
  • Good German and English.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Germany and occasionally internationally.
An additional advantage would be:
  • Experience working with grid operators, municipal utilities, or railway power supply systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, particularly VOB, HOAI, and VDE guidelines.
  • Basic knowledge of automation technology; experience with IEC 61850 is a strong advantage.
  • Proven experience in the professional and timely coordination of suppliers and external partners.
  • Proficiency in EPLAN and AutoCAD.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office, project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and ideally Oracle and SAP.
