Vattenfall is seeking a Project Manager to join the Business Area Wind and drive strategic initiatives across onshore/offshore wind, solar and storage projects.

You will collaborate with internal sponsors and senior management to identify opportunities, shape the strategy, and deliver results in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in business, economics, engineering or related field with at least four years in management consulting, corporate strategy, or transformation.
• Experience in energy or utility sector; offshore wind development, operations or strategy is a strong advantage.
• Proven ability to structure complex problems and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Experience scoping and leading cross-functional strategy or transformation projects from definition to implementation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to communicate complex topics concisely.

As Project Manager and part of our project teams, you will closely collaborate with our internal sponsors to find solutions to our most complex challenges. Our business, as well as the industry, is changing rapidly. To be successful, you need to leverage your strategic and commercial thinking and apply your problem‑solving skills. You will report to the Head of Strategic Projects, a strategically oriented function in the Business Unit Offshore.

We work in an international setting and with direct exposure to senior management. For your work, you will be supported by a diverse group of peers, who have a background from management consulting companies or have previously worked in strategy functions.

Responsibilities and qualifications Your tasks and responsibilities

• Learn about the challenges our business is facing and work closely with your colleagues in Strategic Projects and beyond to identify improvement opportunities for our Business Unit.

• Contribute to setting the overall strategic direction of BU Offshore.

• Scope, align, and lead strategic initiatives and improvement projects in line with our strategy and operating model. Ensure success through convincing storytelling, innovative concepts, effective presentations and analysis reports for our project sponsors & management team.

• Actively collaborate with project sponsors, the BU Offshore line organisation and other stakeholders, building your reputation as a trusted advisor.

Qualifications

Who are you? Your background

• An advanced university degree, or equivalent qualification, in business, economics, engineering or a related field, together with at least four years of relevant professional experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or transformation.

• Relevant experience in the energy or utility sector, with a good understanding of how complex organisations make decisions and collaborate across functions. Experience in offshore wind development, operations or strategy is a strong advantage.

• A strong track record of structuring complex and ambiguous business problems, conducting robust analysis and translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

• Experience in independently scoping and leading cross‑functional strategy, transformation or organisational improvement projects, from initial problem definition through to implementation.

• Confidence in engaging senior stakeholders, facilitating alignment and communicating complex topics through concise presentations and compelling strategic narratives.

• The ability to take ownership, work independently and consistently turn direction into tangible results.
