We currently employ around 230 people at our site in Mainz-Hechtsheim. Founded in 1994 as DILAS Diodenlaser GmbH, the company quickly established itself as a major manufacturer of high‑power diode lasers. At its two locations in Mainz and Freiburg, DILAS develops and produces high‑power diode laser components and systems with a wide range of power levels and wavelengths. DILAS has been part of the Coherent Group since November 2016.

We are looking for a Project Manager (m/f/d) for our research and development department to start as soon as possible.

Job Description

• Planning, management, and successful implementation of research and development projects
• Coordination of interdisciplinary teams
• Ensuring that project results are achieved on time and within budget in accordance with the company's technological objectives

Your Profile

• Completed technical degree, preferably electrical engineering
• Experience in project management in R&D
• In-depth knowledge of scientific and technical methods (e.g., experimental design, data analysis, prototyping, etc.)
• Confident use of project management methods
• Knowledge of budget planning, project controlling, and subsidy management
• Good planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
• Strong communication and moderation skills
• Conflict management and stakeholder orientation
• High analytical skills and problem‑solving competence
• Proactive, structured, and independent way of working
