At BW Water, now part of De Nora Water Technologies, within the De Nora Group, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager (m/w/d) based in Stuttgart, Darmstadt or Klipphausen, Gemany to oversee the end-to-end delivery of water treatment projects, ensuring performance in terms of time, cost, quality, and safety, while leading cross-functional teams and managing key stakeholders.
Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Manage all project stakeholders and interfaces across clients, engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractors
- Act as main point of contact for clients and ensure clear, transparent communication
Project Cost Control & Contract Management
- Own and drive project financial performance, ensuring achievement of gross margin targets
- Develop and control budgets, monitor costs, and implement corrective actions when needed
- Identify risks and opportunities and manage contract/claim processes
Project & Resource Planning
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Ensure on-time delivery through effective monitoring and coordination
Technical Project Management
- Coordinate engineering activities and ensure efficient workload distribution
- Participate in technical meetings and ensure compliance with contractual and technical requirements
Quality, Safety & Site Execution
- Ensure HSE compliance and coordinate site execution activities
- Oversee construction and commissioning to ensure quality and contractual compliance
- Ensure successful system handover to the client
Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project progress, performance, and KPIs
- Provide clear reporting and drive continuous project improvements
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or comparable technical qualification
- Extended experience in project management of industrial plant projects (€1-10M), including parallel projects
- Strong expertise in budgeting, cost control, and resource planning
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills incl. leading project teams (5+ people)
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
- Experience in risk and contract management
- Ability to work with technical drawings and documentation
- Proficient in MS Office and project tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
- Fluent in English and German
- Willingness to travel (Germany & EMEA)
- Valid driver's license B
- EPC and/or pipeline construction experience is a plus
