Aufgaben

• Gesamtverantwortung für Projekte von Vertragsübergabe bis offizieller Abnahme, inklusive Gewährleistungsphasen.
• Hauptansprechpartner für Kunden bei technischen, kommerziellen und organisatorischen Belangen.
• Schnittstelle intern, Koordination von Berichten an Geschäftsleitung und Führungsteams.
• Sicherstellung reibungsloser Kommunikation und Maßnahmen zur Projekterfolg.
• Führung und Motivation von Projektteams in einer Matrixorganisation.
• Erstellung realistischer Aufwandschätzungen, Anforderungsanalysen und Projektpläne; Risikomanagement.
• Alle kommerziellen Aspekte von Projekten professionell mit ERP-Systemen abwickeln.
• Kontinuierliche Verbesserung von PMO-Tools und Prozessen; Unterstützung bei Angebotserstellung.

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager (m/w/d) to join our Project Management Office (PMO) on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of complex national and international projects within a highly sensitive military environment. Your primary focus will be ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and quality assurance, to coordinate project activities and facilitate seamless communication across departments. Reporting directly to the Director of the PMO, you will play a pivotal role in driving project success and supporting the strategic objectives of ELAC SONAR GmbH.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant university degree in a commercial or technical discipline. You should have several years of professional experience, preferably within the defense industry, shipbuilding, or related supplier sectors. A strong technical affinity combined with excellent commercial acumen, particularly in contract management, is essential. Experience in managing complex software projects and familiarity with agile methodologies are highly advantageous. Certifications such as IPMA Level C or equivalent in project management will be considered a plus. You must demonstrate a structured and analytical approach to work, with excellent presentation and communication skills. Fluency in both German and English, in speaking and writing, is required. Willingness to undertake international travel for multiple days is also necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assume overall responsibility for projects from contract handover to official completion, including warranty periods, or manage significant sub‑projects within large programs.


• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert support on technical, commercial, and organizational matters.


• Act as an internal interface, coordinating reporting and communication channels to senior management and executive teams.


• Ensure smooth internal communication, orchestrating all necessary measures to guarantee project success.


• Lead and motivate project teams within a matrix organization to achieve shared objectives.


• Create accurate effort estimates, comprehensive requirement analyses, and detailed project plans, while proactively managing risks.


• Handle all commercial aspects of projects professionally using our ERP systems.


• Continuously improve project management tools and processes to enhance efficiency across the PMO and other departments.


• Support proposal development activities during the bidding phase for new projects, contributing to competitive and comprehensive offers.
