We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager (m/w/d) to oversee major infrastructure and construction projects across Germany. This site-based role requires strong German language skills (min. B2) and offers the opportunity to lead high-impact technical workstreams for a dynamic international organisation.

Your Role

As a Freelance Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned projects and workstreams across German sites. You will ensure safe, efficient programme delivery while maintaining full compliance with local regulations, HSE and Quality standards, and contractual targets.

You will act as a key liaison between internal teams, contractors, and clients, providing leadership across both technical and commercial aspects.

How You Will Succeed

• Lead and manage end-to-end infrastructure projects in compliance with German building codes and regulations
• Own all project documentation (RAMS, drawings, work programmes, KPI tracking)
• Monitor project phases to ensure best practices in cost control, resource management, risk mitigation, and HSE
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and internal staff with clear milestones and expectations
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities
• Ensure full compliance with German legislation (e.g., BauGB, BauNVO, DIN, QA/QC standards such as ISO 9001, TÜV)
• Promote sustainable and energy‑efficient solutions
• Coordinate seamless project handovers that meet all contractual and regulatory requirements

What You Bring

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Management within construction or data centre environments
• Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
• Strong technical understanding of construction and power‑sector regulations
• Proven experience in budgeting, cost control, and contract management
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
• Experience dealing with local authorities and inspectors
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)
• Proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Copilot)
• Fluent in German and English (B2 minimum)
