Job summary

GMV, a leader in satellite control centers, is seeking a Project Engineer – Ground Segment to deploy and commission software solutions for clients in Germany. You will help install, configure and support systems at GMV facilities and customer sites, with travel to client locations as needed.

Ideal candidates have a strong interest in space, an analytical mindset, and basic programming skills, plus the ability to work methodically under security and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong interest in space and willingness to learn about mission‑critical systems.
• Practical, methodical and detail oriented approach to work.
• Basic programming skills to support scripting and configuration tasks.
• Good communication skills and strong attention to operational detail.
• Analytical mindset with ability to define end-to-end solutions based on subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Deploy GMV’s satellite control center software products in internal and customer environments.
• Prepare technical deliverables and installation packages for customer projects.
• Install, configure and support systems both at GMV and at customer sites.
• Travel as required to support on-site deployment and commissioning activities.
• Work in accordance with security requirements to obtain accreditation for DoD projects in Germany.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team, you will support the deployment and commissioning of GMV’s satellite control center software solutions, preparing customer deliverables and installing systems both at GMV facilities and at customer sites in Germany.

Your main tasks will include:

• Deploying GMV’s satellite control center software products in internal and customer environments.
• Preparing technical deliverables and installation packages for customer projects.
• Installing, configuring, and supporting systems both at GMV and at customer sites.
• Traveling as required to support on-site deployment and commissioning activities.
• Working in accordance with the security requirements necessary to obtain accreditation for projects with the German Ministry of Defence.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for graduates or professionals in Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, Aeronautics, or related disciplines, with an interest in the Space sector and mission-critical systems.

Key skills and qualifications include:

• Strong interest in the Space industry and willingness to learn about mission-critical systems.
• Practical, methodical, and detail-oriented approach to work.
• Basic programming skills to support scripting and configuration tasks.
• Good communication skills and strong attention to operational detail.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to understand, and potentially define, end-to-end solutions based on multiple subsystems.

We will also value:

• Previous experience in operational environments, system validation, or similar roles.
• Knowledge of Spanish.
