Mott MacDonald Bentley invites applications for a Project Design Engineer - Electrical in Leeds. This role combines design engineering with project management across water and wastewater schemes, supporting multi-disciplinary teams.

You will lead design activities from outline to detailed design, oversee construction and commissioning, and mentor colleagues while engaging with client teams for a unified delivery approach.

Qualifikationen

• Accredited Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Incorporated Member of Engineering Institution.
• Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects.
• Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.

Aufgaben

• Leading the design of treatment or infrastructure projects from outline to detailed design, through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinating the project team including civil, electrical, mechanical and process designers, BIM modelers and technical specialists to ensure on-programme delivery within budget and quality standards.
• Mentoring less experienced colleagues within the discipline.
• Building positive relationships with clients' project, operational and technical assurance teams to promote a one-team approach.
• Undertake design in own discipline and ensure designs meet framework and industry specifications.

The Project Design Engineer - Electrical role combines elements of both traditional Project Management and Design Engineering, managing projects through the outline and detailed design lifecycle, supported by our multi-disciplinary teams. What does a Project Design Engineer - Electrical do day to day?

• Working as part of a "project triangle" alongside a Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure that technical, constructability and commercial aspects of project delivery are considered throughout.
• Leading the design of treatment or infrastructure projects from the initial outline to detailed design, through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinating the project team including civil, electrical, mechanical and process designers, BIM modelers and technical specialists and ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget, and to the quality defined by each framework and industry specifications.
• Undertake design in own discipline and mentor less experienced colleagues where appropriate.
• Building positive relationships with the clients' project, operational and technical assurance teams and promote a "one-team" approach.

• Accredited Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
